Man accused of raping neighbour’s 8-yr-old daughter

A 32-year-old driver, Muhammadu Alabi, has been arraigned before an Abule-Egba Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, on a charge of alleged rape of an eight-year-old daughter of his neighbour.

The accused lives at 34, Emmanuel Aina Street, Aboru, Ipaja, Lagos. He, however, pleaded not guilty.

In what sources called self-imposed Sharia Law, an Egyptian man, a popular stealing addict has chopped off both of his hands in a bid to stop his addictive stealing habit. 28-year-old Ali Afifi lost his first hand in 2008 by holding it under the wheels of a fast-moving train. Afifi, who posed for the above picture few weeks ago reportedly asked an Imam to cut off his second hand because he couldn't stop stealing. Afifi said: “But the Sheikh refused my request, saying he is not a ruler or in a decision-making position to take such a decision… he advised me to repent and seek God’s help… I then decided to cut my hands off.” Will this decision ever stop him from stealing?

Revealed: 1.15M Jamb Candidates cannot get Admission Annually- FG!

The Federal Government revealed that the actual carrying capacity of Nigerian universities is 350,000 against the purported 500,000 made known to the public. It also disclosed that about 1,150,000 candidates who sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) annually are unable to secure admission because of this low capacity.

Kanye West charged over LA airport run-in

Los Angeles - Rapper Kanye West was charged on Friday with battery and attempted theft after he allegedly attacked a paparazzi photographer at Los Angeles International airport in July, officials said.

I came across this picture on Facebook yesterday. Apparently, the story behind it is that he caught his wife in bed with another man, and so, to punish her, he had her walk around the town naked. I believe it was a man who posted the picture because in its inscription, he wanted to know what women would say of it, now that the tables had turned (the cheat is a woman, instead of a man).

Photo: 400 level student caught with cocaine at Akanu Ibiam Airport

A 400-level student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Anambra, was arrested this week at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu State, for ingesting 25 wraps of male condoms filled with cocaine. 32 year old Chizoba Nwabuwa arrived aboard an Ethiopian Airline flight from Brazil when he tested positive to liquid cocaine, which weighed 1.250kg.
